Our Story
When I was 14 years old I started a Saturday job for a local Florist. I loved working there and the owner allowed me, at the end of my shift, to design my own bouquet to take home for my mum.
I studied Floristry Design at Bishop Burton College, Beverley and quickly secured my first florist role after graduating and was quickly promoted to National Sales and Design Manager for a high street Florist.

My goal was to open my own shop and in 2008 my dream become reality when I opened my first shop in Market Weighton.

I embrace the opportunity to share in precious moments in customers lives, during times of happiness and sadness which continually inspire me.
I source the finest grade of flowers direct from Holland to create beautiful designs.
MADE IN YORKSHIRE.
Here at Flower Merchant, we love and celebrate everything Yorkshire. We embrace the authenticity and honesty which is embedded within every Yorkshire man and woman.

Our business values have not been instilled via management consultants but from our parents and grandparents – treat everyone how you would like to be treated yourself and our mission is to ensure we embrace all of our customers and treat them equally – regardless if you walk into the shop wearing a Saville Row suit or muddy wellies.

Our advice is based on 30 plus years in Floristry design and we keep up to date with all the trends and designs which are current.

We are proud of our county, our people, our heritage and our business and everything we produce is always thoroughly inspected before it leaves the shop.
